Honestly, an awesome feature, and one that allows Finale to really scale up, especially if you're willing to burn a lot of your Inspiration Dice. The idea of you being able to slide across the entire battlefield to a single target- presumably blasting 'Careless Whisper' on your Bardic Saxophone the whole way- is just too funny. I might reduce it from Charisma mod/long rest to once/short rest, so that it feels like a big burst of effectiveness- like Action Surge. The one bit of advice I've got here is that you should specify when the bonus to Finale ends (probably upon taking a rest).īattle Ballad is crazy powerful, and only has a 'downside' when Finale is used (since, as per the way you've written it, allies can be hit by the Finale with the Ballad active). I like that several of your builds here have these 'stacking effectiveness' features. I do really like the flavor of it, though! I'm not sure it needs any downsides at all, since it's a once per long rest ability. Man, Finale is punishing, with that free attack it provokes from everybody. Special thanks to both u/kingofthewildducks for the names of the newer ones as well as u/cynicalredgiant for all of their help and advice Any constructive criticism is valued, although something to note is that if something looks weird, it's probably to do with the Darkest Dungeon class. Once again, I haven't finished the fluff because I may need to (or decide to on a whim) completely replace a feature with something else. Woooooo! The Jester is my personal favourite hero class in Darkest Dungeon, and I especially like the Finale attack and theme, so that's what I've based the subclass off of.
